I recently finished my MS thesis, which was focused on small scale irrigation schemes in West Africa. My months abroad were very rewarding and I remain interested in international development. I look forward to remaining active in the efforts to establish well-designed and reliable irrigation systems for the farmers of Northern Ghana.

My PhD research will allow me to focus on my interest in engineered systems for environmentally and economically sustainable agriculture here in the States. My current project will involve the evaluation and modification of Vegetative Filter Systems for the treatment of dairy farm waste. I will also be designing and evaluating flow diversion mechanisms to control concentrated silage leachate.
